Definitely the most "authentic" pub in a town that doesn't seem to know what the word means. The food and service here are always terrific. The beer selection varies, but occasionally they will have an exciting microbrew on tap (the Dominion Stout was definitely a winner). Otherwise, a fairly standard selection (Guiness, Bass, Widmer hefeweizen, etc.). The beer of the week special is probably the best beer bargain in town.

I enjoy the steak and cheese sub. I think it's the best in Fredericksburg. The beer special is good too. A different beer every day!

I love the dark wooden walls, and the comfy feel of this bar. My only complaint is that they aren't open late enough for my taste. They close up shop pretty early on weeknights. You can also order carryout, and their overstuffed baked potatos are great!
